Ask HN: What is the next Burning Man in NA?

This comment[0] got me thinking:

> I have attended festivals for more than half of my life and they're all suspectable to the same gentrification problem as cool neighborhoods: fun/artsy people create fun environments, fun environments attract others who genuinely appreciate fun/artsy but are professionals themselves, professionals attract other professionals but shallower with more money. Or, in short, they get hugged to death. Rinse, repeat.

>Same thing is happening with Garbicz festival in Poland, arguably Europe's Burning Man equivalent for many.

By asking this, you're effectively the shallow professional with more money that hugs the festival to death, so of course you wouldn't know the cool ones that are mostly art community driven

That's harsh, OP is likely "...others who genuinely appreciate fun/artsy but are professionals themselves"

Ask one of the cool artsy people you hang out with?
